High Demand Item – Frequently Reordered by Contractors

Solution 40 is a single-component, room-temperature-cure anaerobic flange gasketing sealant. Applied as a bead to one flange face, it cures between the mating metal flanges and fills surface voids to create a thin, resilient, vibration-proof seal that will not leak even if a flange is chipped or damaged.

It cures without shrinkage, remains flexible to flex with the flanges, and resists oils and solvents through severe thermal and pressure cycling. Supplied in a 50 ml tube and a 300 ml cartridge.

Applications

  • Vacuum pump flanges
  • Fuel and water pump housings
  • Gearbox and cover plates
  • Automotive and truck axle covers
  • Close-fitting metal flanges needing a flexible, oil-resistant seal

Key Features

FAQ

How is it used?

Apply a bead to one clean flange face, assemble, and tighten – it cures between the flanges to form the gasket.

Does it stay flexible?

Yes – it remains flexible after cure so it flexes with the flanges.

What gap can it fill?

Up to 0.010″ (0.050″ with primer).

Any restrictions?

Not recommended for pure oxygen or oxidizer service, or for plastics where stress cracking could result.
