Common Questions
Valve FAQ
What types of industrial valves does PVFPro stock?
PVFPro stocks ball valves, gate valves, globe valves, check valves, butterfly valves, and boiler drains in brass, cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Available for residential plumbing through high-pressure industrial service.
What is the difference between a Class 800 and Class 1500 forged steel valve?
Both are forged steel valves per API 602 and ASME B16.34. Class 800 is rated for lower pressure service (approximately 1480 PSI at ambient temperature in carbon steel). Class 1500 is rated for higher pressure service (approximately 3600 PSI). Class 1500 valves have heavier body walls and are used in high-pressure steam, gas, and process applications.
Can I get contractor pricing on bulk valve orders?
Yes. PVFPro offers contractor and project pricing on valve orders. Submit a quote request with your list and we’ll respond the same day. You can also call us at 615-219-9103.
Do you carry actuated or automated valves?
Yes. Electric and pneumatic actuator options are available on select butterfly valves and ball valves. Contact us for actuated valve packages — we can source manual, electric, and pneumatic configurations depending on your application.
