Solution 400 is a zinc-rich cold galvanizing compound in an aerosol can. It dries to a zinc coating that protects steel galvanically – the zinc corrodes sacrificially so the steel beneath it does not – the same principle as hot-dip galvanizing.

It is built for touching up weld seams, cut edges, and damaged galvanized surfaces, and for adding sacrificial corrosion protection to bare steel. Its high zinc content (specific gravity 1.19) builds roughly a 1 mil protective film.
