The felt-lined J-hanger (Empire Fig. 10J) is the noise- and isolation-dampening version of the standard J-hanger. A 3/16" felt liner sits between the hanger and the pipe to cushion the line, deaden vibration and water-hammer noise, and prevent metal-to-metal contact — useful on copper, plastic, and noise-sensitive runs. One-piece electro-galvanized steel; mounts with a single bolt or screw to wood, strut, or structure.
Sized by nominal pipe/conduit diameter from 1/2" through 6". For bare (unlined) support, see the standard J-hanger.
Specifications
Designed for the suspension of non-insulated, stationary pipe lines. Complies with MSS SP-58 and SP-69 (Type 5). Electro-galvanized with a 3/16" felt liner; dimensions and load ratings per the Fig. 10J base.
