High Demand Item – Frequently Reordered by Contractors

Everkem EvoSeal MS (Gray) is a high-performance, single-component MS hybrid polymer sealant that delivers the flexibility and waterproofing of silicone with the paintability of acrylic — without the trade-off. Meeting ASTM C920 with ±25% joint movement, it stays flexible from -75°F to 220°F and bonds tenaciously to EPDM roofing, aluminum, Kynar-coated metals, PVC, vinyl, steel, glass, masonry, and concrete. Solvent-free, low-VOC (19 g/L), paintable, and applies in cold conditions down to 30°F — built for commercial glazing, EIFS, facade, roofing, and movement-joint work.

Applications

  • Expansion and movement joints
  • Commercial glazing, curtain wall, and facade
  • EIFS and exterior insulation systems
  • Window and door perimeter sealing
  • EPDM, metal, and membrane roofing details
  • Commercial and industrial construction and maintenance

Key Features

  • MS hybrid (modified silane) chemistry — flexible, waterproof, and paintable
  • Meets ASTM C920 with ±25% joint movement capability
  • Wide service range: -75°F to 220°F (intermittent to 250°F)
  • Outstanding adhesion to EPDM, metals, glass, PVC, masonry, and more
  • Solvent-free, low-odor, low-VOC (19 g/L); applies down to 30°F
  • UV and weather resistant; paintable after cure

How It Compares — EvoSeal MS vs. OSI Quad Max

If you've been buying OSI® QUAD® MAX, the Everkem EvoSeal MS is the same class of product — an advanced MS/SMP hybrid polymer sealant that's flexible, weatherproof, and paintable, meeting ASTM C920. The two are tuned for slightly different work: Quad Max leans toward siding color-matching and maximum movement, while EvoSeal leans toward commercial/industrial joints with a wider service-temperature range — and ships in the same order as your firestop and PVF supply.

PRO TIP: MS / SMP hybrid sealants give you the waterproofing and flexibility of silicone with the paintability of acrylic — a strong choice where silicone can't be painted and acrylic cracks under movement. For prefinished colored cladding, use a color-matched bead and avoid heavy tooling or feathering, which can reduce UV and movement performance. Use a backer rod on joints deeper than 3/8".

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it paintable?

Yes — with latex paint after about 2 hours, or oil-based paint after 24+ hours. Unlike silicone, EvoSeal MS accepts paint.

How much joint movement does it handle?

±25% per ASTM C920. For joints needing greater movement, verify the design against the sealant rating.

What substrates does it bond to?

EPDM roofing, aluminum, Kynar-coated metals, PVC, vinyl, steel, glass, marble, brick, concrete, wood, and many plastics.

Can I apply it in cold weather?

Yes — it applies in conditions down to 30°F and stays flexible across a wide service range of -75°F to 220°F.

Is it solvent-free?

Yes — solvent-free, low-odor, and low-VOC at 19 g/L.
