Stainless Steel Press Piping System — Apollo SmartPress®
Apollo SmartPress® is a 316 stainless steel press piping system for 1/2"–2" IPS Schedule 5S and 10S stainless steel pipe. Designed for pharmaceutical, food service, laboratory, and high-purity piping where corrosion resistance is critical and welding is either impractical or introduces contamination risk. SmartPress creates permanent press connections without hot work, welding certifications, or purge gas.

- SmartPress Fittings — 316 SS couplings, elbows, tees, reducers, and adapters for Schedule 5S and 10S stainless pipe. 1/2"–2".
- Apollo 86V Series Ball Valve — 316 SS 3-piece ball valve with SmartPress press ends. The isolation valve for SmartPress systems. EPDM, HNBR, and FKM seal options. 1/2"–2".
- Seal Options — EPDM for water and steam, HNBR for gas, FKM for aggressive chemicals and high-temperature service.

Why Press vs Welded SS
Welding stainless steel requires purge gas, welding certification, and introduces heat-affected zones that reduce corrosion resistance. In pharmaceutical and food service applications, weld quality must be documented and inspected. SmartPress eliminates these requirements — the mechanical press joint is consistent, repeatable, and requires no post-weld passivation or documentation beyond installation records.

What pipe does SmartPress work with?
SmartPress is designed for ASTM A312 Schedule 5S and 10S stainless steel pipe in 304/304L and 316/316L alloys. It is not designed for Schedule 40 stainless — verify wall thickness compatibility before installation.
Can the same press tool be used for ApolloPress, PowerPress, and SmartPress?
All three systems use M-profile press geometry, so the same press tool head is compatible across systems in the same pipe size. Always verify jaw compatibility with your specific press tool model.
